Sticks & Stones was born from a humble question - could we help families remember their loved one in a more personal and holistic way?
Our Story
Our family has deep roots in end of life care in BC. Our great great grandfather started Kearney Funeral Services in 1908. Since then, our family has helped grieving families navigate one of the most difficult journeys of their lifetime- the loss of a loved one.
More of a calling than a profession, this path ultimately led our father, Tom Crean, to open a natural burial cemetery in South Surrey. The first new cemetery to be opened in decades in the lower mainland. Tom's son Trevor is now managing director of the cemetery. Families visiting the cemetery often asked Trevor for recommendations on how and where to order a memorial stone.
